• The group played Down with yours truly on the guitar; also my arrangement of Bob Dylan's "One of us Must Know (Sooner or Later)" for the ensemble
late October - mid November: Artist-in-residence at Joshua Tree National Park, CA
• Wrote Trail Follows Wash and a heap of pop songs
• Climbed rocks of various sizes
23 September: Concert of Contemporary American Art Song at Pianoforte, Chicago
• Theme: "Not poetry"
• Program to include Sincerity, with Ben Hjertmann, tenor and Luke Gullickson, piano
