After a quiet season, mid-2015 is going to see a serious unleashing of Grant Wallace Band music. We're putting the finishing touches on our long-gestating debut album Axle of the World (with Rabbit). Last month we met up at Appalachian State University in North Carolina to play a show, work with composition students, and—yes—record our next album, a four-song EP. This summer we're gathering in my hometown, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to perform original incidental music for an outdoor production of Our Town, with Classics at Brucemore. And in the fall we'll begin work with Houston Grand Opera on a dramatic song cycle to be performed sometime in 2016.
For the moment, enjoy this live video from our performance last September at the Resonant Bodies Festival in Brooklyn.
